ACCESS ADVISORY COMMITTEE MINUTES
March 24, 2004

Members Present: Shelly Brisbin, Randall L. Glock, Scott Meyer, Jerry Doran, Juan Munoz, and Robert Raines.

Capital Metro Staff Present: Nancy Crowther and Jan Johnson.

Guest(s): Julie Maloukis

All decisions are voted upon and all votes are unanimous unless stated otherwise.

Meeting began informally as people arrived between 5:00-5:30PM at 323 Congress Ave.

The Access By-Laws were reviewed. Minor changes were made to improve the document. Shelly Brisbin will send the revised by-laws via e-mail to all present at the meeting in the next week or so.

Officers were nominated and appointed by Access. Shelly Brisbin was appointed Access Chairperson, Randall L. Glock was appointed Vice-Chairperson, and Scott Meyer was appointed Secretary. Scott Meyer was so overwhelmed with joy that he emphatically yelled, "I am somebody!" Julie Maloukis, although a guest, stated that she planned to attend all the Access meetings and offered to serve as a back-up secretary and assist Scott Meyer.

There will be two subcommittees. One is the Special Transit Service (STS) Operations and ADA Paratransit Compliance Subcommittee, which will meet the fourth Wednesday of each month from 5-6PM at Capital Metro's downtown office at 323 Congress. The second subcommittee is the ADA Fixed Route Subcommittee, which will also meet the fourth Wednesday each month from 6-7pm at 323 Congress following the STS subcommittee.

Jerry Doran and Juan Munoz wish to be on the STS subcommittee. Shelly Brisbin, Robert Raines, Randall L. Glock, and Scott Meyer wish to be on the ADA fixed route subcommittee. In the next meeting it will be decided who will move from the ADA fixed route subcommittee to the STS subcommittee so there will be three members in each subcommittee. Many members stated that they might attend both subcommittees.

Any future agenda items should be submitted to Shelly Brisbin.

The next Access Advisory Committee Meeting will be held on April 7, 2004.

The next subcommittee meetings will be held on April 28, 2004. Capital Metro and/or the chairperson will communicate any changes to upcoming meetings via e-mail.
