Members: René Barrera, David Patterson, Coleen Stoll, Barbara Espinoza and John Taylor

- January 2006 Service Changes. Ms. Highsmith and Mr. Gonzalez gave the Committee members a detailed presentation on the service changes and improvements to be effective January 28, 2006. There was extensive discussion and questions posed by members. Chairperson Barrera raised issues related to "SoCo" marketing and congestion in residential neighborhoods. Mr. Patterson asked that staff consider extending late-night service hours for the southbound North Lamar route. Mr. Gonzalez responded that staff would follow through on Mr. Patterson's request and report back to the Committee. Ms. Guajardo informed the Committee about the "grand openings" of the Tech Ridge transfer center and stated she would send members an email reminder about these two events.
- Subcommittee Reports
- Rapid Transit Subcommittee (René Barrera). No report.
- Amenities Subcommittee (David Patterson). There was a brief discussion about the need to improve signage.
- Technology Subcommittee (Open). No report.
- Fixed Routes Subcommittee (Jerry Balaka). Mr. Balaka reported that although there have been discussions with ABIA liaison regarding, among other topics, moving the Route 350 to the lower level, discussions have been suspended pending the completion of construction and remodeling at the airport. There was discussion about improving signage. Chairperson Barrera asked staff to look into the possibility of improving signage inside the buses. Mr. Gonzalez stated he would explore that possibility and report back to the Committee.
- New/Other Business
- Mr. Taylor asked that the Committee receive an update on the status of recruiting new CSAC members. Chairperson Barrera indicated this matter would be placed on the agenda for the February 7, 2006 meeting.
- Although a quorum was present, Chairperson Barrera ruled that because approval of the November 2005 minutes was not posted on the agenda, the Committee could not vote to approve them. This matter was tabled for the February 2006 meeting.
The meeting adjourned at 7:04 p.m. The next CSAC meeting is scheduled for February 7, 2006.
Respectfully submitted,
John Stephen Taylor Acting Secretary, Customer Satisfaction Advisory Committee January 14, 2006
