- Approval of Minutes for May 13, 2009 CSAC meeting.
Motion by Roger Cauvin and Rich Mackinnon second to adopt May 13 minutes with a minor grammatical correction.
- 2010 Budget Review – Peggy MacCallum
Ms. MacCallum provided an overview of the assumptions used in developing the proposed 2010 Budget including a decline in the projected sales tax collections which will result in a budget shortfall. Ms. MacCallum then discussed the administrative measures which will be taken to close a portion of the shortfall. Ms. MacCallum then discussed several options for closing the remaining portion of the shortfall including additional administrative reductions, a 3% service reduction, an accelerated fare increase and deferred capital projects.
- Basic Transportation Needs Proposal – John-Michael Cortez
Mr. Cortez provided a presentation for a proposed basic transportation needs provider. The purpose of the proposed organization would initially be to provide free or reduced fares for low-income and transit dependent populations, and later developing solutions to meet broader transportation needs in our community.
- Customer Call Report – John-Michael Cortez
Mr. Cortez provided a brief review of the updated customer call report. The Committee was asked to forward any requests for additional information to Mr. Cortez.
- Report from the Urban Transportation Commission - Rich MacKinnon
Mr. MacKinnon reported on the implementation of new city parking meters, the strategic mobility plan and the street closure ordinance.
- Report from ACCESS Committee – David Patterson Mr. Patterson invited CSAC members to join him in a meeting with Cap Metro staff to discuss tracking of Customer Call Records.
- Report from Service Plan 2020 Community Advisory Council - Roger Cauvin Mr. Cauvin provided an update on the Service Plan 2020 Community Advisory Committee, and suggested standards for evaluating the proposals developed in the Service Plan 2020 project, to be drafted into an ordinance to be deliberated upon by the Committee by email.
