Notice for Free Fares Customers

Effective January 1, 2009, seniors, Medicare Card Holders and Capital Metro certified people with disabilities are required to have a valid Capital Metro issued ID in order to ride free.  The Capital Metro ID card can be purchased at the Capital Metro Transit Store for $5 and is valid for 2 years.  Individuals certified with a temporary disability are also issued a Capital Metro ID card that is valid only for 90 days, also at a cost of $5.  Forms to apply are available at the Capital Metro Transit Store at 323 Congress Avenue, (512) 389-7454.  Metro Access customers can continue to ride fixed route bus services for free using their current Metro Access ID.
