Adopt-a-Stop

What is Capital Metro’s Adopt-a-Stop Program?
The Adopt-a-Stop program is a partnership between the community and Capital Metro which seeks to ensure that riders have an enjoyable experience. Local organizations and businesses can participate by adopting a Capital Metro bus stop in their area and assisting in keeping our community clean and safe.

Participants can add a unique touch to their stops by incorporating personalized elements that reflect their character. Get creative and show your friends and neighbors you’re doing your part to keep the community safe and litter-free.

Public Art & Landscaping:
Capital Metro welcomes creativity and art in transit. Capital Metro will review projects prior to development. If there is enough space available, an organization wishing to landscape a stop must submit a landscaping plan and sketch of the proposed project for Capital Metro’s approval. Cost for development, installation, and care is the organization’s responsibility.

Who can participate and why would you want to?
Who:
Community organizations, neighborhoods, churches, businesses, families, groups of friends, or individuals can adopt a bus stop.

Why:
The Adopt-a-Stop Program is an excellent way to show your civic pride and help keep your community beautiful. Your efforts will help provide a cleaner, safer and more pleasant transit experience.

What is expected of participants?
By participating in the Capital Metro Adopt-a-Stop Program, you agree to:

  • Give your stop a little TLC now and then, between Capital Metro-scheduled cleanings.
  • Contact Capital Metro to inform us of graffiti or other concerns with your adopted stop.
  • Commit to participating in the Adopt-a-Stop Program for one year.
  • Additional guidelines apply.
