Adopt-a-Stop
What is Capital Metro’s Adopt-a-Stop Program?
The Adopt-a-Stop program is a partnership between the community and Capital Metro which seeks to ensure that riders have an enjoyable experience. Local organizations and businesses can participate by adopting a Capital Metro bus stop in their area and assisting in keeping our community clean and safe.
Adding a unique touch to your adopted stop:
Participants can add a unique touch to their stops by incorporating personalized elements that reflect their character.
Landscaping:
Some stops have enough right-of-way available for minor landscaping. This varies from stop to stop. If there is enough space available, an organization wishing to landscape a stop must submit a landscaping plan and sketch of the proposed project for Capital Metro’s approval. Cost for development, installation, and care is the organization’s responsibility.
Public Art:
Capital Metro welcomes creativity and art in transit. Capital Metro will review projects prior to development.
Who can participate and why would you want to?
Who:
Community organizations, neighborhoods, churches, businesses, families, groups of friends, or individuals can adopt a bus stop.
Why:
The Adopt-a-Stop Program is an excellent way to show your civic pride and help keep your community beautiful. Your efforts will help provide a cleaner, safer and more pleasant transit experience.
