Capital Metro Seeking Public Input for President/CEO Search

Agency to offer public comment opportunities in August and September

AUSTIN, Texas - With the recent announcement of the pending retirement of Capital Metro President/CEO Linda Watson, the agency has begun a period of public outreach as it begins its search for her replacement.

The Capital Metro board of directors will offer opportunities for the public to provide feedback on the attributes they consider most important in a new chief executive. Public comment will be taken at the Aug. 28 board meeting at 11 a.m., at a special board meeting on Sept. 14 at 12:30 p.m., and at the agency's regular monthly board meeting on Sept. 29 at noon.

Comments provided by the public will be used to assist in the development of a candidate profile. Watson announced in July that she would retire, effective Dec. 31.

Capital Metro board meetings are held at 2910 E. 5th Street in Austin, and are served by Routes 4, 17, 300 and 320.
