Frequently Asked Questions

Typically, we'll send notifications about routes that are delayed more than 15 minutes, routes put on detour, inclement weather alerts and other service-related messages. Keep in mind that you will only receive alerts for the routes that you select during the sign-up process. If you want to be notified about other topics like Project Connect or general CapMetro news, we can notify you when there's something new to share.

No. If you want to receive text messages, sign up with your phone number. If you’d prefer email notifications, sign up with your email address. You can use both methods, but the accounts will be separate and you’ll need to manage your notifications separately.

Yes. If you want to receive alert notifications as text messages, you can sign up by texting route information to 468311. Simply text CapMetro and the route number you're interested in receiving alerts for. For example, if you text “CapMetro 801” to 468311, you'll be notified whenever there's alert for Rapid Route 801.

It’s up to you! Setting a password does allow additional security but is not required. If you sign up via text, you won't be asked to provide a password, but you can add one by visiting the sign up page.

Click here to manage which notifications you receive. First, select your subscription type (email or text) and then enter your contact info. If you chose a password on your initial setup, enter it when requested. Finally, under “Alert Topics”, uncheck any routes you no longer want to be notified about or add more notifications by checking new routes.
