CapMetro Temporarily Suspends UT Shuttle Service

AUSTIN, Texas (January 13, 2021) — CapMetro will temporarily suspend UT Shuttle service until at least Feb. 1, since the University of Texas announced its plan to move classes online through Jan. 31.

In the announcement, UT said its decision is in an effort to ensure the safety of their community. With the increase in the number of COVID-19 cases in Austin, the university hopes moving classes online will limit the spread among faculty, staff and students.

Anyone with a valid UT ID can still ride free on all CapMetro services. This includes faculty, staff and students.
To stay informed, customers can register to receive MetroAlerts or visit our UT Shuttles page. Customers are also encouraged to use the Trip Planner to find replacement service for any UT Shuttle route.
