CapMetro To Run Critical Service Schedule on Friday

New schedule is part of emergency response efforts

AUSTIN, Texas (February 3, 2022) – CapMetro will operate a Critical Service Schedule Friday, Feb. 4. This is a new type of schedule CapMetro has developed as a part of emergency response efforts.

The limited service will run from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., on 30 to 60-minute frequencies, on routes that could benefit thousands of daily bus riders who use these routes to access jobs, essential services, and grocery stores. The later start will give CapMetro staff time to assess roadway conditions before service begins, and the service will end early because of anticipated roadways re-freezing and expected lower ridership and workforce availability.
