CapMetro Connects Concertgoers to 2023 Austin City Limits Music Festival

Special services include multiple, high-frequency bus routes and commuter rail to connect customers to free ACL shuttles and to Zilker Park

AUSTIN, TX —

CapMetro is prepared to accommodate thousands of people in Austin who are attending the 2023 Austin City Limits Music Festival. The agency is providing multiple high-frequency bus routes to Republic Square as well as commuter rail services that will connect festivalgoers to the free ACL shuttles during both weekends of the festival. (Please note: CapMetro DOES NOT operate the shuttle buses between Republic Square and Zilker Park.)

In addition to providing service to the shuttle pickup/dropoff site via Republic Square, CapMetro will also have direct routes to Zilker Park. The agency will also continue providing service for those who are staying until the last performer by operating our Night Owl late-night routes until 3 a.m.

CapMetro Rail will also operate special service on Sunday, October 8 and 15. The last trains depart from downtown at 12:30 a.m. each night of the festival. There is an Austin FC game on Saturday, October 7, and we are accommodating both events, but we are encouraging customers to view the rail schedule in advance.

Festival attendees can also rent a MetroBike at any of our 75 bikeshare stations to get to Republic Square or Zilker Park. CapMetro staff is hosting a MetroBike valet off Toomey Road by the parking lot near Weber Field, guaranteeing a place to dock your MetroBike once you get to the festival.

Customers are encouraged to download the free CapMetro App to plan their trip in advance. Users can view schedules and purchase passes to ease their journey. To stay informed on real-time departure information customers should sign up for MetroAlerts.

For a list of all the services being provided for both ACL weekends, view this website.
