Ring in the New Year with CapMetro: Agency to provide Special Service on New Year's Eve
All fares will be suspended after 5 p.m. on December 31, 2023
AUSTIN, TX —
CapMetro is offering several convenient service options to help customers celebrate the New Year safely. The agency will also suspend fares on all services after 5 p.m. on December 31st.
To ensure customers have safe options to get to Downtown Austin and celebrate the New Year, CapMetro Rail will extend service on December 31 running until after 2 a.m. The last train departs from Downtown Station at 2:22 a.m.
Bus will operate its regular Sunday-Level service and Night Owls will operate from 10:30 p.m. to 2:30 a.m.
Due to the fireworks event at Auditorium Shores, several routes will be on detours. For the full list of detours, please visit our Service Alert webpage.
On January 1, 2024, CapMetro will operate a reduced service. There will be no Rail, Night Owls, Express, or Pickup service.
We encourage our customers to use our Trip Planner, or call the Customer Service GO Line at 512-474-1200, when making New Year’s Eve plans to find the best transit option.
