CapMetro hosting Media Tour of the New McKalla Station on February 20, 2024

AUSTIN, TX —

What: CapMetro is hosting a tour for media partners at the new McKalla Station at Q2 Stadium on February 20, 2024, ahead of the Grand Opening Celebration on February 24, 2024. The agency will provide a walkthrough of the new Rail Station, as well as have several people available to interview. 

When: Tuesday, February 20, 2024 from 2:00-2:30 p.m.

Where: McKalla Station, 10414 McKalla Place, Austin, TX 78758

Who: The following people will be available for interviews:

Details: The McKalla Station will service the North Burnet area on the CapMetro Red Line. It is adjacent to the Q2 Stadium, near Delta Drive, and will help provide more convenient and safe options to the Stadium and the surrounding neighborhood. As part of this Project Connect investment, the project also made drainage improvements to the area, added double-tracking and developed quiet zones. The station is also connected to a wider transit network with a designated bike path and nearby bus stations.
